Minimalist swimwearSome like prints and some don’t. I think you need to turns heads every time you’re on the beach, whether it’s in print or solid. But in this post I want to focus on basic, minimalist swimwear. Because this can’t be missed in your swim wardrobe.

And what better than to select minimalist swimwear brands from Australia? The country with, I think, the highest number of swimwear brands and where every girl owns at least 10 different bikinis. Check out my favorite brands from Down Under when it comes to minimalism.

Minimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearCantik swimwear

Cantik swimwear was launched in 2013 and this brand believes in acting mindfully and responsibly with ethical consciousness at the heart of the label. Their aim is to create comfortable swimwear that you will wear with confidence. With 4 different bikini sets ($120) in several colors and 2 types of one pieces ($90) their collection is quite small. But that doesn’t hurt their popularity given the +100K followers on Instagram!

I think every woman can find her favorite minimalist bikini in this collection because they offer a lot of different styles in a wide range of colors. Fella. swim is your brand of choice for basic tops with a twist like double straps or cut outs. Available at the major retailers Net-A-Porter, Revolve and Shopbop.

Minimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearMyra Swim
Myra swim is maybe my favorite minimalist swimwear brand. Reason for this is their cheeky cuts and color choices like peach, wine and coconut. Designed with 80’s/90’s influences and a modern twist these pieces suit all body types. But if you check their Instagram account you’ll see that they have a lot of curvy fans in particular. Tops and bottoms are sold separately so you can mix and match as you like!

Minimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearPalm Swimwear
This brand is sold mainly in Australia and a few online retailers. Maybe small compared to others in this list but with big aspirations to modernize the classic swimsuit. They even have bandeau one pieces in their minimalist collection (read my post about why you need a bandeau one piece here). The great thing about Palm swimwear is that every time you spend money on their site you can earn points, which you get discount on your next order. And the fact that their sizes range from XS to XL.

Minimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearSomerfield Swim
Founded by Australian swimwear model Renee Somerfield, designed for the girls with salt in their hair and sand between their toes. Each piece is designed to accentuate the female body and highlight every curve. What I love about Somerfield is that they not only offering standard basic colors that go well with minimalistic styles, like black and navy, but she adds striking colors to the collection like yellow, aqua and orange. But honestly, the best style is the Paloma one piece (top left). Sexy as hell!

Minimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearArk Swimwear
Launched in early 2016 from the personal longing to create a basic swimwear range with comfortable and flattering bikinis, but most of all make it affordable! You can get an Ark bikini for $75 and you don’t have to pay shipping costs! All their swimsuits have no padding or underwire and are as much seamless as possible. Size range from XS to L but please know that their sizes run small. Just like a lot of Australian swimwear brands by the way.

Minimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearMinimalist swimwearKira Swim
Ok gals, who’s ready to show off their toned booty that you’ve worked so hard for in the gym? You?? Then Kira Swim is the perfect brand for you! Bring on the thong bottoms. Every bottom style they offer is either a thong or a tanga so I’d say you need a dose of confidence to wear these super sexy bikinis. Reasonable priced too, only $70 for a set. But then again, it’s not a lot of fabric you’re wearing lol.

Minimal coverage? Check. Cheeky bottoms? Check. Ohana swim is the perfect brand to make a statement with on the beach! This is the ultimate tanning bikini with a light weight triangle top and super thin bottom straps. The bikinis are only available in three sizes (small, medium, large) but I love the fact that you can have a Ohana bikini for just under a $100.
