Babymoon destinations | My Bikini MusthavesYou all know at this point that I’m pregnant. And if you didn’t know that means that you’re not following me on Instagram, aren’t a loyal visitor of the blog or that you new to this site. In that case, welcome! I’m actually almost in my third trimester now and so I thought it would be a good moment for a last-minute babymoon!

In a couple of days we’ll be leaving for Curacao to spend a romantic last holiday together before the baby arrives. During my babymoon I would like to spend my days on the beach and enjoy good food and each others company. No high intensity activities or busy schedules every day for me. I want to use this holiday to fully relax and prepare myself to the hectic and sleepless weeks that are around the corner, lol!

Curacao is a perfect place to spend your babymoon but of course there are a lot of other places that you and your man can go to. I have listed the best babymoon destinations across the globe for you to enjoy some me-time. You deserve it girl.

Curacao is almost like my second home. I visit the island about twice a year and we have a lot of friends and family living there. If you haven’t heard about Curacao before, it’s a small Caribbean island just off the coast of Venezuela. Probably the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen a lot!) and if you want to take your children to your babymoon, Curacao is a good option. I suggest to rent a car and stay at the westside of the island called Westpunt. It’s quiet, not touristy and you have nice rental houses over there. Best time to visit is February – May. Skip hectic and posh Ibiza and take the ferry (or private yacht if you like) to beautiful Formentera. This super small island in the Mediterranean ocean is the perfect low-key summer hangout and that’s why I put it on my babymoon destinations list. Cool beach restaurants, one-of-a-kind stores and cute bays with amazing views. Book a private apartment right on the beach at the Es Ram Eco Resort. Personal chef anyone? ($$)

The only Asian destination in this list but definitely one of the best. When I think of Vietnam, I think of delicious food and lovely people. And what I love about this country is that you can enjoy it on a low budget, or you can live the luxurious life. Let’s go for the latter if we’re taling about your babymoon. I’ve heard about the Six Senses Hideaway Resort a while ago and it’s high on my bucket list since then. Located on rock formations and only accessible by boat, this is not only a must-visit for babymoon destinations but also for basically any holiday spend with your boo. A hidden gem at the north-east coast of Brazil. Just 20 miles south from Maceio with a tropical climate all year round. If you’re looking for a remote and exclusive place to spend your babymoon in privacy, look no further. Book your stay at the Kenoa Beach resort, an eco-chic design hotel with dramatic views of the Atlantic ocean. Take a walk on the beach with your loved one and chances are that you won’t meet a single soul. Perfect destination if you completely want to disconnect from the outside world. If there’s one place where relaxing is part of every day life, it’s Jamaica. Prepare yourself to take a few steps back and be ‘easy’ all the time. I love Jamaica because 1) it’s an island, and I’m an island girl, 2) because the nature there is beautiful and 3) because the food is amazing!  Try to book your stay at The Caves, a charming boutique resort with spectacular views. Enjoy the authentic Jamaican ‘jerk’ barbecues on the beach or a romantic night for two in one of the cliffside jacuzzis. Yah mon! ($$$)

So if you haven’t planned your babymoon yet, now it’s the time. This will be good for you, the baby and your relationship. Jus think about the fact that in a couple of months it won’t be the two of you anymore and you have to divide your attention between your hubby and the baby.

Even if you already have little ones running around and your pregnant with the next one, just give yourself this holiday with your partner.  You will feel reborn, trust me!

Let me know what your favourite babymoon destinations are! Would love to know!

Love, Gala
