Matching bikinis & cover-ups | My Bikini MusthavesNormally I don’t wear matching bikinis and cover-ups in the same print. Nine out of ten times I think it’s too much. Until I saw this Waterfall print from the 2016 Ondademar collection. It’s colourful but soft, and when I discovered that the cover-up was also available in a short version I was sold. Otherwise I maybe would have felt like a Christmas tree.

Let’s be honest gals, matching beachwear is the most easy thing to wear during a beach day or laying pool side. You don’t have to think about whether or not your outfit passes the fashion police test (yes, also on the beach this is very important) and you’re ready to go within seconds! I do recommend to keep the matching prints only to the bikini and cover-up, and don’t go overboard by adding sandals, a towel and beach bag in the exact same print too. That would be a major fail. Matching bikinis & cover-ups | My Bikini MusthavesMatching bikinis & cover-ups | My Bikini MusthavesBuy this Ondademar Waterfall bikini and cover-up here, or check out all the other matching styles on their website

I think Missoni this year has again a very strong collection in prints and matching styles. Oh my god, I literally love EVERY piece in their beachwear collection!! Have you seen it yet? Net-a-Porter sells a big part of it and it will make you broke even looking at it so be careful!

The most easy cover-up style is probably a beach dress (long or short) because you can just throw it over your bikini or one piece and you’re ready. But I’ve selected also a couple of cute rompers and jumpsuits to my favourites, or you can even try a long skirt! Very fashionable and feminine!

Now tell me, what’s your favourite cover-up style for on the beach? And does the print always have to match your bikini?

Love, Gala
