When I received these bikinis from Acambha I immediately knew I wanted to shoot them in a tropical surrounding. A lot of green, palm trees and still close to the sea. Lucky for me I had a trip planned to Curacao. With dozens of beautiful locations to choose from!
Acambha swimwear is a Balinese brand but I’ve never been to Bali and haven’t experienced that island spirit yet. But I wanted to make sure to capture the relaxed vibe of this day thanks to the amazing location and cute bikinis of course. I think both me and the photographer pulled it of, don’t you think? I even played around with my hair style during the shoot haha!Shop print bikinis here
The Acambha collections named Magic Dance and Voices of Freedom are really defining the essence of the brand: bohemian spirit and laid-back attitude. The feminine and unique pieces are all little treasures from this magical island. Even being almost 7 months pregnant during this shoot I didn’t feel uncomfortable for a sec and was really at ease with what I was wearing #goodvibesonly
I love it when swimwear brands expend their collection with matching beach dresses, sarongs and bags. Not that I always wear a bikini with matching cover-up but I like to have a wide selection to choose from. Because sometimes a certain print looks better in a dress than in a swimsuit. It shows the brands expertise in designing and I think Acambha did this really well in their Free Spirit range.Shop high neck bikini tops here
Although it was interesting for me to see if I would fit in these bikinis since I was 29 weeks pregnant when this shoot took place, I still felt comfortable in them (wearing size small in both bikinis). Balinese swimwear brands tend to be a bit smaller than European brands and I have to say the bikinis were slightly tighter than usual. But that’s just because I’ve gained a few pounds here and there ;)
Tell me, which one of these two bikinis is your favourite and why? Would love to know!
