Let me introduce you to another new category on my blog: New name to know. This new category is part of the Brands category in the main menu and focusses on brands that are relatively new in the beachwear scene. Because I think it’s important and interesting to also talk about smaller brands that aren’t very well-known yet. So if you want to stay updated on cool new brands that you probably have never heard of, make sure to check back regularly in this category.
The brand I would like to talk about in this post is BEC swimwear. I remember the first time I saw the Kamala Sunset swimsuit on their Instagram page and I was blown away by the vibrant color combinations! Since then I’m following every step of this brand which was founded in 2015 in one of my favorite cities, Barcelona. Sisters Adriana and Andreína followed their passion and now form a perfect duo in creating BEC swimwear. The brand is born with a tropical, exotic essence and an urban mentality. Created for rebellious, free spirited women with an experimental nature.
BEC swimwear first collection: Unexpected Bliss
The first thing I noticed in the debut collection of BEC swimwear is that all the styles have flattering cuts and the designers really paid attention to accentuating the female curves. The bikini bottoms are really small (which I like!) and have elastic stretch in it so the fabric will adjust perfectly to your body.
This collection consists of beautiful pieces with vibrant colors in exotic prints, so it’s no surprise when Adriana and Andreína tell me that this collection was inspired by the tropical beaches of Thailand. This summer collection composed 26 bathing suits with 8 ethnic prints that endure the test of time. Shades from early morning sunrises to long and intriguing sunsets, these suits are made for ambitious globetrotters eager to discover the unexplored. Keep an eye (or two!) on BEC swimwear this summer because you don’t want to miss out on this new kid on the
